The Office of Academic Affairs invites you to an event hosted by Listen.Learn.Discuss., the university’s civil discourse initiative: "Discussing the Holocaust: Encouraging informed and respectful conversation."
In an era of increasing complexity, fostering respectful dialogue rooted in historical accuracy and mutual respect is essential. But, many members of our community report encountering barriers simply finding agreement on accepted fact – before they can even begin a dialogue about an issue.
Historian and Ambassador Deborah E. Lipstadt, one of the world's foremost experts on the Holocaust and contemporary antisemitism, offers a unique lens on navigating these sensitive yet crucial topics within the campus community. From her historic courtroom victory against Holocaust denial to her recent service as a U.S. diplomat under the State Department, Lipstadt has spent her career on the front lines of the fight for truth.
A fireside-style discussion will follow her keynote address.
